"Going to get your vehicle inspected? Pop into Naweena Rd Snack Bar while you wait. It's just up the driveway from the interstate vehicle inspection centre. You can't book an inspection, and when the person I care for and I arrived and put in our paperwork, we were told there'd be a 45 minute wait and then they phone you when it's your vehicle's turn. So, we popped into Naweena Snack Bar, and, honestly, it's a gem. Clean. Welcoming. Funny, easy-going staff who'll crack a joke and share a smile like you're one of the family. There's even old school advertising posters on the walls: if you can finish this sentence: "Life's pretty straight without..." or you can recall which brand of chips were advertised by the Gobbledock ("Ahhhh! Chippies!") then you'll feel right at home. I didn't know there was anywhere left in town combining old-fashioned service, perfect hot chips with chicken salt (just the right amount!), and genuine, honest truckstop food -- freshly made that day or right in front of you. What a find!"
